Please take extreme care on emails from administration @ petshopboys-forum .com !!!!!!!!!!!
In the last days I recognise some emails about Tickets for PSB@ROH which I THINK could be a money trap. After we have to hold this email open for user requests and alerts via the contact link (at the...
I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...

Thank you for the link leesmapman. I was already aware of them and found the last one does not include the first song they played (the Blur song Girls and Boys (PSB Remix)). For some reason it has been omitted from the youtube recording hence why I asked if anyone has their own recording.
Minimal will sound on the radio at the end of February.
Last post
End of February sounds about right for Minimal's radio release as stations usually add songs about 5-6 weeks before their commercial release - and April 3rd has been cited for the latter.
I think it's true. They have more information about it than us, I suppose.
...if this hasn't been discussed here before and I've merely missed it...
...PLEASE tell me someone else hears the connection between these songs, especially the Peel session demo version of "London" and the instrumental part after the second chorus of "Advertising space". The flanging of the steel...

Oh. Good. At least I'm not hearing things no-one else is.
There's something that don't leave my mind. I keep wondering:
Why releasing an instrumental (and problably not finished) version of a song that won't be even the first single and in a 12" format?
Anyone with a good answer?

I don't know. Ask Techno. What for? To have a bootleg copy? I didn't even know bootleg pressings exist. Only a couple of acetates as far as I'm aware and I have never even held one in my hands, never mind about not owning one.
have they improved a lot since the starting of the buzzz about Fundamental?

For some reason i've lost over 100 posts
 really??? Hmm must have to do with some delete flags in the last days... :-/. F*ck, I really hoped it only would delete the topics and not the user post-counts.... This means other user lost some of their posts too...
From the official site: a round-up of tidbits
Seems everyone is talking about Sodom and Gomorrah!
Fundamental reactions - 26 January '06
There have been a few advance press reactions to the “Fundamental” album in the last few days:
“The forthcoming Pet Shop Boys album is on the...

Im an ALIAS? Some brainwashed people don't want to see the truth for themselves. They'd rather listen to the first thing that is said from a minger's mouth. Of course, that wouldn't apply to me cos no-one listens to me
Too late now i suppose, but think of Actually in 1987.
It's a Sin June '87 Number One.
What have i done to deserve this? August '87 Number Two.
Actually then release September having had two HUGE hits which i would imagine can only increase awareness and demand?.
Last post
1987 was almost 20 years ago. That's the problem. Sales have changed, the market has changed, and even the format has changed (vinyl vs digital download).
I totally agree with you...
1) first of all we have to say that the "strategy" is not done by PSB!!!!!
they are not the only one that choose...
The boys are getting a lot of good press. Things are being built for this release in a way ive not seen in a long time. Bands are being highlighted covering their work. Early albums are recieving praise in snobby, "now" publications. Could it be that the Boys are all of a sudden acieving a new...

I bet Fundamental will be my 3rd favorite behind Behavour and Very
Sorry for a 2nd Dusty thread but today on NPR's Fresh Air, is an interview with a woman who wrote a biography about her. It's to coincide with the new CD DVD that's come out from her Royal Albert Hall performance.
I'll let anyone know if there's any PSB mentions.
Last post
Ok well no mention of the PSB but interesting anyway.
Just seen on ebay what must be another fake promo cd, the Home and dry graphics help give it away.
I reckon the person who is making these is the same as who made the "flamboyant" Fakes and I bet they have made quite a bit of cash too!

Also, Im certain I have seen this item in Record Collector back in the days when I used to buy it there was a section at the front on the top promos that month, I think I remember the listing you mean, all 12 Re-issue & FL CDR's at £400
in the current issue of mixmag (probably a month old by the time it gets to australia!) there is an article about Madonna... of all people!
Anyway... Neil gets his face in it.... apparently he exposed her in the uk via smash hits or something
Last post
I haven't seen the Mix Mag article, but I know Neil put Madonna on the cover of Star Hits in the USA (which he edited for a while). It would have been late 1983-ish.
I think the Pets have also said that they went to see Madonna when she played her first ever UK date at the Camden Palace, so it...
As we all know, S M-J has supported N&C many times over the years. In fact she has earned the sobriquet: The 3rd PSB.
Yet, she was absent from both Release & Disco 3 - as were any back-up singers, now that I think about it.
So, I wonder ...
Will she provide back-up on Fundamental ?
Will any...

Just in WH Smith browsing the NME (not worth buying these days :( ).
They had a list of top 100 British albums of all time.I just expected all the usual suspects but to my surprise the Pet shop boys were there at number 24 with Please!

boo! I assume Behaviour was at number 1 then?
No, that'll be Arctic Monkeys.
Hard times, eh? Oasis, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys....lol
I have been wondering for a while now just how rare (if rare at all) is the cassette album of Release.
I picked up a copy in a second hand record shop here in France for 2 euros and I have never seen another copy for sale anywhere.
I am talking about the standard album, not the import album with...
I've noticed that with many Pet Shop Boys albums, the titles have been plays on words, or have had jokes behind them - for example, 'Please' was called that because the fans would go to the store and ask "Do you have the Pet Shop Boys album, Please?" - and I had heard that 'Actually' is really...

DAVID WALLIAMS is measuring up for his biggest challenge yet to my gay-o-meter.

That’s right, one of the most camp bands in pop history — famous for their version of gay...
I had the worst experience on Ebay and I like to share with you.
The Ebay user muaddib18 was selling New York city boy Japan promo and I contacted him to negotiate a lower price. We agreed in U$ 250 and he would stop the auction so I could pay him and then, he would send it to me.
The thing is, the CD NEVER...

but have you ever wondered about the name 'Pet Shop Boys' - and how 'uncalculated' the name chosen appears to be - for a duo, especially in the earlier years who were 'seen' to be very calculated. It sounds quite British, and yes there was all that 'hamster' rubbish,...

ive jutnever thought about and to be fir i really dont think that neil and chris did either! they seem to pur more effort into the name of the albums than anyything else though dont they!!!
Has anyone heard Stuart Price remix of Talk? I knew the guy was a fan of the pets, but totally rip of Time on my Hands and put Chris Martin on top  . I feel a Saint Ken remix coming up :-P
I'm sure this was brought up before, but I'm just wondering if anyone got that CD of PSB covers by a bunch of mostly virtually unknown goth bands. (The only two bands I knew on it were "Fictional" and "Icon Of Coil".)
In my opinion, most of the covers were lousy, but the disc did have a few minor...

I bought it because or two reasons and two reason only:
1) I like hearing PSB covers
2) Two of my friends (War-N and Christa) group, Hungry Lucy, from my hometown of Cincinnati are on it covering "Jealousy".
Just got hold of this mix, quite good but prefer PSB mix.
Anyone else heard this yet, if so wot do ya think.
If not am i allowed to post mix here

Last night I did a cd with the PSB mix and I took it at the disco where I use to go...
After listening the dj told me that he will never play it...
and he love PSB but he think that it's too "standard" and than from PSB he was expecting something "different"
At the FEA (Festival Electropop Alternativo), March 17-18. Quite a kitsch festival, But quite cool and funny, too. I can tell. Some of those bands are absolutely amateur.
There is a video presentation of the bands, they are the first ones to appear.

I know. It's quite weird that they are performing there.
I have just been watching a couple of the tours over the last week and I have decided that all that ostume crap only ever looked good when they were live
i.e> Performance tour What have I done to deserve this?? with the moustche
> 1989 tour Its a sin with neil in the red coustume
> Discovery tour I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing in them...
And the first name on there... PET SHOP BOYS!!! Sure hope this is the official one... so, i can't say that it's confirmed, but hey, it's a possibility..!!! :)

I personally really enjoy the PSB mix of this track a lot. Perhaps someone who knows much more than I do about these things can possibly fill me in on this. Why would the PSB's either A. Not allow their mix onto a Madonna single? That honestly would make no sense what so ever. Especially since they...

Neil and Chris did a "Sugababes" and one of them left the group but the other was allowed to keep the Pet Shop Boys name and carry on, replacing the member who left..
Who would you choose to replace Neil and Chris?

If the Boys were to part ways, I would soon expect the Great Comet to arrive and finally wipe out mankind.
They can/could never, ever be replaced or duplicated. They ARE the Pet Shop Boys.
I remember watching this programme and being surprised to hear So Hard playing extensively in a party scene at the start of one of the episodes at the start of a series. Anyone else remember this or even know the episode in question, i told a mate about it once and he didnt believe me.

I don't see why it should be a bad record. The PSB never made a bad record. And they are in an excelent shape, in spite most of you don't think so. IMO Release is one of their best albums. Don't know why, but for some reason I'm not that excited. Happened last time too, I just couldn't summon up much enthusiasm.
Maybe it's because recent-ish albums from PSB have been a little bit of a let down (IMHO) and now I'm getting used to it.

I won't be going to see PSB live this time. They're ok but the audiences are really poor. The last couple I went to they all stayed sat down! You don't get that at an Erasure concert!

I haven't got tickets yet but I definitely plan on seeing this when it comes to Sydney. Just heard it today; what a beautiful song, especially after 4:00 when Neil repeat “only love”. I hope this will be released as a b-side with a proper lyrics. Can’t imaging that this will be forever as a demo. Did you hear that song, what do you think about it?

It's true- I have little to offer...except my humble opinion.
I didn't have any preconceived notions about "Only Love", since I heard it and "Motoring" in the same listening session. The first time I heard it, I thought it was intentionally an instrumental. It was only after a few listenings that...
