Thank you for the link leesmapman. I was already aware of them and found the last one does not include the first song they played (the Blur song Girls and Boys (PSB Remix)). For some reason it has been omitted from the youtube recording hence why I asked if anyone has their own recording.

At first listening it's a striking song, then you discover it's much more conventional that it seems. Anyway I could see PSB performing it as a live cover like they did with "Girls and boys"-that wacky falsetto should attract Neil :) And the video is fantastic.

- Collaboration of any famous musician or singer on the project.
- An Spectacular choir (Go West style) for one of the songs.
- Another big orchestra on it (Numb apart).

I like the song with "Hey! Ho!" etc. I'm getting more impressed by hearing the cd more. Fantastic rhythms en beautiful synthesizer sounds in combination with classical music themes.
Maybe it´s a difficult question, but... how would you define PSB´s music in ONLY one word? (trying to avoid easy words like "good", "bad", "excellent", "s**t"... although they´re not banned :wink: )
Just because there is a gap of '*enter years here* doesn't actually mean it took that long to do. The album could have been made 15 years ago and locked away somewhere, just like the Peel sessions.

I would like remixes which ones don't sound like typical repetitive songs for clubs and discos. I would like something similar Julian Mendelssohn did with Suburbia (making a new version of the song, more extended and including additional lyrics sung by Neil written by PSB).
Ok, so there is no West End Girls 2005 remix, but what if there was and it was released as a single? Would it be a number 1 or just something to line the bottom of the top 40?

To make a tribute album to someone who didn't write music is a bit odd. A Dusty tribute would in fact be a tribute to Bacharach & David, Goffin & King, Tennant & Lowe etc...
I remember an interview with Neil Tennant. On it, he talks about soundtracks and affirm that he would like to make the soundtrack of a Disney movie.

Isn't it about time the boys did another calendar for us fan club members, maybe the Christmas present or even commercial. There's an album worse than this. It's by PS Orchestra and is called "The Hits Of The Pet Shop Boys" as far as I remember. It really is literally the worst album ever released. Every song is played with the same cheap synth that sounds like it has only got 4-voice polyphony. Horrible!

Exactly. Very Relentless is my favourite PSB package ever; it was so perfect right down to Postscript after Go West. I agree with you about the possible inclusion of Shameless and Too Many People but these are minor quibbles. I think we got so used to their brilliance that we were actually spoilt...
