I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...

Thank you for the link leesmapman. I was already aware of them and found the last one does not include the first song they played (the Blur song Girls and Boys (PSB Remix)). For some reason it has been omitted from the youtube recording hence why I asked if anyone has their own recording.
I've just recieved a text from Steve telling me that he is in hospital again with a suspected knee infection. Those who know his past medical history will understand that this not good news. I'm sure you will all join me in wishing him a speedy recovery.

So I did this - 30" demo - and the whole track will follow if you want it (I completed it yet 3:40, I'm serious...)

ahem, from PopJustice:
Q: Are there lots of good rhymes for 'etc.'?
A: No. The word 'etc' doesn't actually appear in the lyrics. :(
It’s that time of year again when I don’t bother posting my top 10 records of the year largely because I haven’t heard 10 records that would be good enough to comprise a list worthy of the name. What with X-Factor, Simon Cowell, the return of bad-the-first-time-around boy bands, and the little fact...

Impossible. The Wii version of ISS is superb.

It will be soon available to download from the new single by Dj RUbs vs Chris Kalera remixed by David Cicero.
The song will be called Nightlife (Cicero Digitalism remix) and it will be the first comeback of Cicero since a lot of years.

I like it. It's totally overblown, operatic, symphonic and over-the-top ridiculous from beginning to end and reminds me more of Meat Loaf than the G'n'R of the 80's, but hey, I like Meat Loaf and if I have to listen to rock-music, I prefer it to be...

My young nephew is almost 6, and sometimes cajoles me to showing him pictures of airplanes, his thing, on the iMac.
I enjoy it, it's cool. But I was playing the new Killers song "Human" while we were looking at airplanes , and to the interesting lyric, "Are we human/Or are we dancers?", my nephew...

What a sad attention seeking fvcko. It's tragic to the point of comedy. No offense to Vince or Bahrain, but this Bahraini prince also fully expected the hypothetical album would feature the songs he had written.

ITV are doing some sort of program. Don't know if it's every night but they have kicked off with 1983. Live acts performing. Oh dear. Heaven 17 and now Howard Jones looking about 80. Might be some decent stuff on but it's looking like a sugar coated Karaoke.

I saw Kajagoogoo perform at the Retrofest in Scotland recently and they were great. I have to admit- Limahl is looking gooood. I hated the guy in the 80s, but, now- well, let's just say he has improved with age. 8)
Howard Jones was on too, but my friend and I went to watch Ferris Bueller's Day...
Looks like Swedish Eurovision Song Contest 1984 winners, the brothers Herreys !
Thanks for reminding me of Herreys! They don`t look gay to me (unlike Big Fun!), just innocent; and they ARE actually singing - in their native language, which is sweet. How many acts...

So I bagged my Ultravox tickets this morning for next year's surprising reunion tour. It got me thinking, just how many of the major musical acts are left to pick up a slice of the filthy lucre wedge offered to nostalgia tours?

Perhaps the Johny Cash meets PSB refers to Human. Although not the same tempo, it is a song about generations much the same way Being boring is and Brandon's voice is quite solemn on the track. I think it's the best song on the album.

only as much as we're supposed to believe that the re-scheduling of a certain synth duos 'hits' album has nothing to do with the timing of an award given to their old rivals .
Have had this song going around in my head for the last week and wanted to post a link here as it has a great '80s pop sound. Kind of like Chris Lowe and Ladytron got together and had a love child (musically speaking).

Quite why Saint Etienne are releasing yet another Greatest Hits is beyond me, though. When you consider that PSB have only released two despite their immense back catalogue, it certainly reeks of milking the fans to the extreme.

My English teacher, many years ago, told me that it is right to say 'If I was', not 'If I were'.
But I noticed that 'If I were' is very often used, especially in the songs (the last one is 'If I Were A Boy' by Beyonce).
My English teacher would be very angry.
Why is it so common say 'If I were'?...

Well, curious soul that I am, I had a glance at the aforementioned site.
I guess it's more of a secret society, or school-tie-wearing back-slapping withered old boys' club, which would explain why people have such trouble finding it.
Am well into the latest remix of that 1990 hit Infinity by Guru Josh.
I remember the original being a big hit in the clubs back in the summer of 90 & remember how those simple chords on a saxaphone really letting the emotions inside you rise to new levels.
Nothings changed with the latest version...

While I loved the original to no end, I find the reworked version to be incredibly dull. They totally ruined a classic, IMO.
