In the last days I recognise some emails about Tickets for PSB@ROH which I THINK could be a money trap. After we have to hold this email open for user requests and alerts via the contact link (at the...
I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...

Thank you for the link leesmapman. I was already aware of them and found the last one does not include the first song they played (the Blur song Girls and Boys (PSB Remix)). For some reason it has been omitted from the youtube recording hence why I asked if anyone has their own recording.
Mine is between King's Cross and I'm Not Scared. I can't quite decide. They are both masterpieces to me.

This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave.
Also my favourite PSB song, including non-album tracks
That's also my choice for favourite PSB song. It should have been a single. They already had extended versions. It would be a dream come true to see it performed live in April, maybe even with...
My daughter received a school task to make a presentation about a british city. Turned out she was given Newcastle. Now my idea was to use Neil's writing/experience as a starting point. So what does the Forum respond to what has Neil written or said about Newcastle?

My 17 y/o daughter is violently anti AI. We're talking throwing hands!
Let me first admit: I am a sucker for PSB sleeves and their artwork. They have been almost as important as their music and lyrics to me as a fan and collector.
A long-term project of mine is to digitize all my 12” and 7” records. This project also involves scanning all the front sleeves and then...

Suddenly VOLUME is almost unuseful
I'm actually a little concerned that maybe Volume wont get into this level of detail. Did Catalogue document all those differences in Always on my mind and Heart? Those are very minute details.
Hello!
During one of my recent concerts, I was standing in the front row. Neil came close, stopped in front of me, and seemed to look at me.
That moment means a lot to me.
What are your thoughts on that moment? How would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10?

Were you sure that he meant you? Or did you have doubts? I had doubts for months after the moment.
You have now chance to pick YOUR next 7" from each album.

1 Two Divided By Zero
2 It Couldn't Happen Here
3 I Want A Dog
4 This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave

When you look back at who has mixed The Boys over the years and a lot of the time, have been ahead of the curve (MK in 1993 for example). It does amaze me that we’ve never got a Fatboy Slim, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules or BICEP remixes. Anyone else “huge” who’ve never been asked/commissioned that...

From back In the day, surprised Jellybean or John Luongo never got asked/commissioned, especially with their US Club influence.
Never heard of Jon Luongo...

also the Our tribe remix sounds like it was inspired by JX "Son Of A Gun"
Yes, exactly, Son Of A Gun ! Which is funny because JX is now known as Rex The Dog, and in his first Rex LP from 2008, there was a track called "Eeveryday Could Be Our Last Day". First time I heard it, I instantly thought :...
Apart from covers like Always on my Mind, Go West, Where the streets have no name (I can't take my eyes off you), Somewhere, Se a vida e and many others with It's a Sin being almost a cover of Wild World. Which other songs of PSB could you consider almost a cover or at least, similar structures because of the similarity with tunes from other artists?...

Ok it’s not but N&C said the bridge was their Belinda moment. 😎
It’s exactly 40 years to the day of Please getting released. Where’s the super deluxe edition? Where’s the 5.1/dolby surround blu ray? Where’s the vinyl box set? Where's the 12” re-release campaign? Where’s ANYTHING to celebrate this milestone? There’s going to be less of us around if they hold out...

A few minutes ago, Pet Shop Boys were announced in Chilean TV to take part in the upcoming Festival de Viña del Mar, February 2026.
The event will run from Sunday 22 to Friday 27, and it's a big deal locally. The buzz is huge around international bands, so I expect lots of attention...

According to the available data from the Pet Shop Boys concert at the Viña del Mar Festival 2026, held at the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater:Live attendance: The event was sold-out, with approximately 15,000 people...
Love this song, it should have been a much bigger hit, one of the Boys favorite songs. Still thinks that the Shep Pettibone remix eclipses the original song, one of his best remixes EVER, sublime ! Still a fantastic song, so moving !

Funnily enough, I never realised the "Mix" from PopArt CD was available on Spotify either until this thread. I just listened to the whole thing over the past couple of days. It's really very good. A great collection of alternative mixes.
My best (and totally without merit or evidence) guess as to...
Apart of all of these promotional performances, they also played So Hard (Rockopop) and Home and Dry (Operacion Triunfo). At least, one of their performances is shown on New Year's Eve in a show called "Cachitos...".

There's often something very moving about other people's nostalgia. Thanks for posting.
Just a little question about the song thats kinda bugging me a bit.
Neil sings ''Song's like Tainted Love and Love is Strange.''
Now, is he talking about a song called 'Love Is Strange' because i've not hear of a song called that. Or is he talking about love being strange?
Off to bed....

I've always assumed the line "To fall in love, is it so uncool?" is a reference to New Order's 1984 single 'Thieves Like Us', which has the line "It's called love, and it's so uncool".
Must ask that question for the 2027 'Annually' Q&As.
You know, those lines in IWTWU and Thieves Like Us both...
Does anybody know if Ich Bin Musik (PSB Remix) is a 2019 remix prepared to promote the original MUSIK show, and then left unreleased until Disco 5 ?
Or maybe, on the contrary, it is a 2025 remix , freshly prepared to promote the forthcoming MUSIK film?
Last post
With “Musik” getting a brief theatrical run I wonder if they’re preparing a physical release of its soundtrack and needed some additional material to pad-out the length?
Good call - maybe we're getting a physical EP to go with the film? Perhaps a BD/CD release is on the cards?
In Spanish (the most fashionble language in the world right now, face it!).

It's interesting seeing that extract of new single reviews from late 1984. We get the notorious Blasphemous Rumours review which DM reproduce in their 81-85 singles collection but he does seem to be on the wrong side of history with Close (to the Edit) and You Spin Me Round (like a Record) I...
I guess we've all been wondering over the years what "How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously" did to deserve the cinderella-like treatment it's received from PSB.
It was a double a-side single in UK and Europe and a proper single on its own in France and the US. It had its own video which I...

I was racking my brain because I was convinced I had that mix but I don't buy 7" vinyl, so lightbulb moment was I must have had it on cassette single, back just before I had a CD player.
I likely sold it for 50p at a car boot sale before moving to Canada. 😬🤦♂️
I highly recommend watching this film which is included in the new bluray version of Potemkin. Very moving especially for anyone interested in Cold War German history from a personal POV. Filmed in 2006 so sadly most of the residents will be dead now. A really beautiful piece of cinema.

But a shame the actual Hochhaussinfonie was not included.
I found the documentary overlong and not really fascinating tbh, there are better documentaries on the GDR.
So right!!
Also would prefer the actual Performance.
The included Docu is boring as hell 🥱
You all know the score on politics and sexuality in here, so please discuss respectfully and tactfully like the adults you all are otherwise you won't get to continue to discuss.
Maybe I should have put question marks in the title.
Supposedly line up has been filtered and they are part of the show!
Every portal in Chile is talking about it.
Hopefully more than rumors.

Are Neil and Chris the only ones credited for this mix?
But what about the female "rap vocals" in the middle section? Did they really write those lyrics, they're completely non-Neilish for that era (he wrote some none-Neilish stuff for CTH but YKWYWW is too early). Or did Helena Springs improvise...

Thanks.
Anyway, there are more lyrics on that mix than on the album version. So I guess they were either ad-libed by the singer, written by the remixer or provided by Neil.
Because of Taylor Swift's new video, I read an article saying that in the US, YouTube views will no longer count towards the singles chart starting in January 2026. I always thought it was ridiculous that they counted them. Out of curiosity, I looked up what equivalency they used. Surprised, I...

Hi everyone. I wanted to ask if you know of any sites where I can download high-quality wallpapers.

It may be rather difficult to find high res images suitable for a framed print out.
Here's one though, the resolution is 3919x3919
For 40cm you'd want to aim for 3150x3150 to 4725x4725.
The full Dreamworld concert film is now on the live concert film app Qello Concerts. Full 1080p HD…but the sound is dreadful..in much the same way it was at the cinema. I’m hoping the Blu Ray isn’t going to be like this. I’m hopeful it isn’t as it was in Sky Arts recently and it sounded...

Yes, the most streamed songs of PSB in history, "West End Girls", "Always on my Mind", "It's a Sin" are still there like the big ones getting more streaming in the last 10 years but there is something important to say now.

I get your point, but people are allowed to compare. Kate's song is iconic to Heights, and it's not unrelated that the film preview/song lacks the warmth and charm people know and love about the source material's culture and canon; but we will wait to see more.

Well, if you're gonna kick over a fandom rock, we are the finest collection of psbeetles you're gonna find underneath.
I've always thought it was the best ballad of the career of PSB, at least on musical terms.
But this is so anthemic that it could work like a big disco anthem. This remix is really good. This version works even like a single material and better than many of their last singles.
Has anyone got a bootleg tape/cd of the barfly gig? If not does anyone know if it is going to get released? It would be amazing to hear the live version of 'Tonight is forever.'

An old post states that there exists a first video version of VOCAL with an exclusive edit of the song:
Has anyone noticed that the VOCAL video has been changed? The video now uses the radio edit, whereas before the video used a unique mix which ended in a repeat of the "so strong, it's so strong"...

Isn't the original video edit the same as the radio edit but it includes the intro?
As for alternate mixes, guess we might find out when Electric: Further Listening eventually comes out.
